Movement Matters

Rewire to Thrive

Move from Surviving to Thriving.

Learn a framework that integrates the brain-body pathways and moves individuals from a “stuck” state to improved neural functioning and social connection.

Areas of Expertise

Combining key findings from the fields of neuroscience, attachment, communication, movement and trauma, Dianne provides a framework for change, growth and real thriving.

Connection

We all need to be seen, known, and loved… to be connected to another.  Secure attachment to a safe other creates the brain structures for emotional regulation, social competence, and well-being.

Communication

The ability to communicate well with others in our world is fundamental to thriving. Strong foundations of attention, connection, regulation, listening, and posture are necessary components to authentic communication.

Movement

Key reflexes and movement patterns set up our body-brain pathways to learn, relate socially, and reach our inherent potential.

Feeding

Critical to growth, health, and wellness, physiological and social systems must interact in a synchronized way to feed our bodies, our brains, and our souls.

Regulation

The neurological process of balancing input and output systems to allow for organization and flexibility in learning and relating to ourselves and others.

Trauma

Defined as anything that overwhelms the nervous system’s ability to cope, trauma disrupts connection and blocks learning. Quieting an overactive stress response system and re-connecting is only possible within the context of safety and support.

Testimonials

Professional

“Dianne is a creative and holistic educator and presenter! As a physio, I have learned so much from our long association, watching Dianne’s clients benefit from a focused combination of early communication and movement, forming an amazing foundation for neural thriving. You will learn and enjoy your experiences with Dianne.”

—Dr. Vickie Meade

“Dianne’s course Co-Regulation to Education was above my expectations.  I did not intend to make changes to my parenting style based on this PD but it happened!  I am appreciative of Dianne taking the time to teach such valuable information.  She also practices what she preaches and made us adults take movement breaks!!”

—Amanda L. – Speech Language Pathologist

“Dianne is the most well-rounded early intervention therapist I have ever worked with.  I always tell families she’s like working with a SLP, OT and PT all rolled into one person!  She has so much knowledge and experience on so many topics – neuro-biology, sensory, reflexes, muscle balance, attachment and relationships, and of course communication. Dianne has a unique ability to weave together all this knowledge, apply it to the daily lives of children and families AND explain it in an understandable and relatable way.

As a therapist, she helps families truly understand their children; as a clinical mentor, she helps therapists understand their clients and themselves, so that growth and development can occur.”

Individual & Families

“We began working with Dianne initially for our 3 year old that was struggling with auditory defensiveness and severe disregulation. It impaired her ability to learn, connect socially as well participate in our day to day activities. Today my daughter is 9 and after working with Dianne, she is excelling in all areas in her life. She plays hockey, is on the honor roll at school and is extremely social. Dianne’s work allowed my daughter to reach her fullest potential as well as gave us improved parenting strategies that have strengthened the connections within our family. To date, Dianne has also treated our other children as well as myself as an adult and I can personally say that Dianne’s work has done nothing short of changed our lives. "

—Stephanie B.

“Before working with Dianne, it was extremely difficult for our son to communicate and function in day-to-day activities without being completely dysregulated. She taught us skills and strategies, but more importantly, Dianne helped us understand why some things were hard for him and showed us that there are things we can do to help. Today, he continues to be a boisterous young boy, but has found joy in many things like swim club, hockey, piano, reading, and hanging out with his buddies, and last June, received the Academic Achievement Award for his grade. I cannot put into words what an invaluable resource Dianne is and how grateful we are for the support she has given our family.”
